Ninjitsu Techniques:
Kawarimi no Jutsu (Substitution Jutsu): Handsigns: Tiger, Boar, Ox, Snake; This jutsu lets the user quickly switch places with another nearby object, such as a plant (normally a section of a log), an animal, or even another person within reach, leaving the opponent open to a counter-attack. Explosive tags can be attached to the replacement for an added surprise. Fundamentally, all ninja know this technique.

Genjutsu Techniques:
Henge no Jutsu (Transformation Jutsu): Handsigns: Dog, Boar, Tiger; The user assumes the appearance of another person or animal. This is one of the basic jutsu taught at the Ninja Academy.

Bunshin no Jutsu (Clone Jutsu): Handsigns: Tiger, Boar, Ox, Dog; This is a basic technique known to all genin. Bunshin no Jutsu creates a clone of the user, which can used to create a diversion or cause confusion. Unlike Kage Bunshin no Jutsu (Art of the Shadow Doppelganger), these clones aren't real, and thus cannot do any damage.

Doragon tsume kajou (Dragon claw spiral); The user uses his chakra to create long claws on one of his hands. The user then leaps at the target, then goes into a extremely fast spin.
